COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP

1. Funding will be a $500 donation from STTR to the recipient. Monies are taken from member donations.

2. Requirements include: GPA of 2.5 or
higher, from official transcript. Must be a member of
STTR in good standing for one year prior of award year.

3. Scholarship is open to all graduating high school seniors,
or a student at any level of college, junior college, or
accredited trade school.

4. Application must be postmarked no later than March 1, 2012, and will include an essay of 500 words.

2012 essay: Discuss how silver-screen cowboys and
western movies have influenced American culture

5. Scholarship recipient will be announced at the annual Election ride, and funds will be released to recipient upon
receipt of proof of registration to college/school.

6. Judging of essay will be based on originality and quality,
by independent source. Topic of essay will be from board
members of STTR.

Grandma's Mules For Sale: I am selling my two riding mules Eddie & Doc if you know anyone that might be interested. My granddaughter, Jessica, just brought her mare home so I now have two mares I plan on keeping to ride. Both mules have good dispositions and are good for folks my age --- stand still to saddle and board, shoe etc. I am asking $1200.00 for Eddie (17 yo) and $2000.00 for Doc (9 yo). Doc would be an excellent mule for endurance rides - he's fast and tough. Even thou both mules are fairly short, they easily keep up with or excel any other 'critters'. Both are "loaded" on all shots and current on Coggins and are sound. They both have been kept in pastures with cattle and other equines.
