SOUTH TEXAS TRAIL RIDERS, INC.
COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP
1. Funding will be a $500 donation from STTR to the
recipient. Monies to be collected from member donations.
2. Requirements include: GPA score of 2.5 or
higher, from official transcript. Must be a member of
STTR in good standing for one year prior of award year.
3. Scholarship open to all graduating high school seniors,
or a student at any level college, junior college, or
accredited trade school.
4. Application to be postmarked no later than March 1st
of application year, and to include an essay of 500 words.
5. Scholarship recipient will be announced at the Election
ride in April, and funds will be released to recipient upon
receipt of proof of registration to college/school.
6. Judging of essay will be based on originality and quality,
by independent source. Topic of essay will be from board
members of STTR.
The essay topic is "benefits of trailride participation".

2008 Scholarship Winner
Dustin Romike
I am 18 years old and a homeschooled senior graduating
in May of 2008. I will be attending TAMUK in the fall of 2008,
and I plan to transfer to A&M College Station in the fall of 2010.
Upon completing my degree in Agriculture Science, I will be
pursuing a career as an Extension Service Agent for
4-H and Youth Development.
Available on the ride in January. Lots of memories to look back on. Only $10.00!!!

and one for your horse trailer!!
The $50.00 keeps your brand on the sound
