SOUTH TEXAS TRAIL RIDERS, INC. 
COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP

Deadline March 31, 2010

1. Funding will be a $500 donation from STTR to the
 recipient.  Monies are taken from member donations.

2. Requirements include: GPA of 2.5 or 
higher, from official transcript. Must be a member of 
STTR in good standing for one year prior of award year.

3. Scholarship is open to all graduating high school seniors,
or a student at any level of college, junior college, or
accredited trade school.

4. Application must be postmarked no later than March 31, 2010,

and will include an essay of 500 words.

2010 essay: The tradition of South Texas Trail Riders, is

"keeping the cowboy tradition alive".  Discuss how the cowboy's

life and work has changed over  the past 100 years.

5. Scholarship recipient will be announced at the annual Election
ride, and funds will be released to recipient upon
receipt of proof of registration to college/school.

6. Judging of essay will be based on originality and quality,
by independent source. Topic of essay will be from board
members of STTR.
